1st International Conference on Disability Rights Awareness and Empowerment took place in Nairobi University kisumu campus at the auditorium as from 2nd to 4th of December 2019.
It was organized by school of law, university of Nairobi ,office of internationalization headed by Dr Peter Onyango onyoyo in collaboration with Assi agency limited and other stakeholders including county government of kisumu .The conference provided an international forum to bring together persons with disabilities ,researches ,businesses ,political and educational sectors to discuss innovative ideas, diverse topics and point out challenges and perspectives for further collaborations.
The conference was successful and the participants thank the organizers for the highly topical and informative programs .
Relevance and significance of the conference were noted by the speaker prof.Robert White and the keynote speaker Ms Brenda kiema .Main outcome of the conference was a call for joint action and cordial relationship for further building partnership and success.
